An experience that goes beyond traditional classroom learning to teach students about medicine, STEM careers, and innovation. Investigate the risk factors of vascular disease; learn how to recognize symptoms and react to stroke and heart attack; and explore current neurovascular treatments. Tour our unique facility, see 3D printers and models, practice operating on our surgical simulator, and participate in activities which highlight the engineering design process.

The Jacobs Institute’s Brain Boot Camp provides a special opportunity to teach students about heart attack and stroke, the signs & symptoms, treatments, and more. We customize our programs to teach students about what educators want to highlight! Students will also learn how to work a medical simulator, see a 3D-printed heart, watch a pre-recorded medical procedure (if appropriate), do fun engineering activities, learn about healthier fast food options, hear from professionals in STEM and healthcare, and tour our unique facility.

The requests are limited to one per school. We ask for no more than 25 attendees per tour, including chaperones. Please note that the Jacobs Institute does not cover any costs or provide any transportation or refreshments.
