Michael Spengler is an R&D Engineer at the JI.  In this role, he contributes to JI’s growing engineering services, with a focus on product development, ensuring that the JI’s processes, services, and product designs meet client and industry requirements.  He has former experience working as a quality engineer,  helping expand the quality management system and ensuring products and services meet regulatory requirements.

Michael graduated from the University at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering in 2018. For his Capstone Engineering Project, he designed a neurorehabilitation glove to help restore hand movement in patients who are experiencing a neurological disease, such as muscular atrophy or stroke.

Born and raised in Western New York, he is a huge Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan. Michael’s favorite place is his cabin, where he enjoys hiking, fishing, and spending time in nature. He also loves to golf and spend time outdoors on sunny Buffalo days.
