About JOSHUA DAVISON

Joshua Davison is an Engineering Manager at the Jacobs Institute (JI), where he leads research and development projects for novel endovascular medical devices and manages the JI's engineering equipment and infrastructure.

Since joining JI in 2021, Joshua has designed, prototyped, and tested a variety of endovascular devices, including catheters, flow disruptors, and surgical instruments. He is a skilled operator on all prototype fabrication equipment at JI, including medical braiders, multi-filar coilers, catheter laminators, CNC mills and lathes, and various additive manufacturing technologies (FDM, SLA, BMD).

Joshua holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo. Before joining JI, he worked in manufacturing and quality engineering roles at several medical device companies in Western New York. His product experience includes large-volume parenteral infusion pumps and implantable-grade capacitors.

Outside of work, Joshua enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and dog.
