Jim is an accomplished broadcast technician who brings 15 years of live television experience. He developed his strong work ethic in the news photography departments of WKBW-TV and WGRZ-TV where he earned two Emmy Award nominations, two NYS Broadcasters Awards, and several Associated Press and National Press Photographers Association quarterly TV clip contest honors. Jim’s most recent work experience includes working as a Broadcast Technician for the Buffalo Sabres.
Jim earned his degree in Communication and Media Arts from SUNY Erie.
Here at the JI, Jim will be responsible for managing the audiovisual (A/V) infrastructure which includes maintaining all video recording equipment inventory, transporting and set-up of cameras, lighting, and audio equipment for clinical procedures and JI-related events, recording and archiving video, and file transfer. This also includes working with all levels of JI management to assist with live clinical broadcasts, recording of surgical procedures, video conferencing of engineering and promotional events and maintenance of all audiovisual (A/V) equipment.
