Jessica Martensen is a Senior Program Manager, where she leads the successful execution of product testing initiatives, spanning from bench testing and early feasibility through GLP-compliant studies. Her experience encompasses a wide array of medical technologies, including thrombectomy devices, embolics, flow diverters, access devices, neurosurgical robots, intrasaccular aneurysm devices, and the development of clot models.
Jessica holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University at Buffalo (UB). She is trained in Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and has completed Green Belt training in DMAIC problem-solving. Before joining JI, Jessica gained valuable experience as a Quality Engineer and Senior Engineer in Technical Services, focusing on process improvements and new product development. She also contributed as a research assistant at the Canon Stroke and Vascular Research Center, studying cellular interactions and behaviors associated with aneurysm initiation.
Outside of her professional work, Jessica resides in Clarence with her husband and daughter. In her free time, she enjoys a variety of outdoor activities such as golfing, snowboarding, kayaking, and biking. Additionally, she is passionate about learning to play instruments, studying languages, and exploring new cooking techniques. Jessica and her husband are currently focused on perfecting their homemade pizza-making skills.
