Jessica, the Receptionist at the Jacobs Institute, is often the first person you’ll see when you walk through the door. She’s here to help keep the front office organized, support scheduling, and create a welcoming environment for all of our guests.
Before joining the JI, Jessica spent more than a decade as a TV news producer, crafting compelling stories in high-pressure environments and managing large-scale projects—like coordinating an Emmy-nominated special from Buffalo while teams reported live from Vatican City. Transitioning from journalism to the front lines of innovation, she brings with her a strong sense of organization, an eye for detail, and a deep appreciation for the power of clear communication.
Jessica holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science from Syracuse University. She enjoys meeting new people and learning something new every day, especially within the dynamic cutting-edge environment of the JI.
Outside of work, Jessica and her husband Jim (a fellow broadcast veteran) spend their weekends exploring Western New York with their two rescue dogs.
