Eric is a Senior R&D Technician designing and building innovative prototype devices for cutting edge endovascular procedures. Whether building complex catheter assemblies, heat setting Nitinol structures, or collecting test data to drive development, he has accelerated the development of multiple product development projects at the Jacobs institute.
Before coming to the JI, Eric worked as a test technician and assembler in the aerospace industry, setting up production units and performing initial tests and calibration of production assemblies, while ensuring that the products met quality standards and target deadlines.
Eric graduated from Ithaca College with degrees in music education and jazz studies. He taught for many years in private and public schools, primarily in underserved communities of South Los Angeles. Eric is a busy professional saxophonist and musician for local and international projects. In his spare time, he also enjoys gardening and musical instrument repair.
