Dan is Senior Research & Development Engineer responsible for leading medical device development and engineering projects at the JI’s i2R, or idea to Reality Center. Dan started his engineering career at a medical device contract design and development firm after earning a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Yale University. He led multiple projects developing cardiac assist and catheter-delivered devices. Dan later earned a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology before joining his wife in Buffalo. Outside of work, Dan enjoys working with wood and metal, walking through the woods, and sitting down with a good book.
