Dan Lawrence is a Senior Program Manager at the Jacobs Institute. Dan focuses on the improvement of the JI’s PMO systems/structure to support the continuously growing new business and active project pipelines. Dan also supports the vetting of new opportunities and proposal creation processes.
Prior to his role at the JI, Dan spent over 10 years at Nissha Medical Technologies (NMT) holding several different positions, most recently serving as the Manager of Program Management. In that role, Dan lead a team of PM’s/Senior PM’s and was responsible for the execution and conversion of projects within NMT’s global Medical Device Design and Development pipeline. In addition to the day-to-day management of the team/project pipeline, Dan was responsible establishing the reporting standards for the PM team, mentoring/guiding PM resources at global NMT sites, and gating/quoting of new business opportunities.
Dan was born and bred in Buffalo and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo as well as his Master of Business Administration degree from Canisius College.
Dan currently lives in the suburbs of Buffalo with his wife Brittany, their newborn son Xander, and dog Nellie. He enjoys family time, hiking, playing softball/volleyball, and anything Buffalo sports related (Go Bills!).
