Andrea Addison is the Senior Accountant for the Jacobs Institute (JI).  In her role, Andrea plays an integral part in performing accounting processes and reconciliations along with assisting in maintaining financial records within the JI systems.  She also helps to ensure JI’s compliance with all financial requirements, and timely processing of financial obligations.

Prior to her role at the JI, Andrea spent 20 years working in the student accounts area of higher education at a local university.  There she was responsible for billing and collection of $70 million in revenue each year along with collection on several federal and institutional loan programs.  She was also responsible for implementing new policies, procedures and systems to streamline and improve the billing and collections processes to ensure that receivables were collected timely, while enhancing the student experience.

Andrea was born and raised in Buffalo and received her bachelor’s degree in Finance from Canisius College.

Andrea currently lives in the Town of Tonawanda with her husband Derek, two sons Lucas and Benjamin, and a menagerie of pets.
