In Memory of Dr. Leo Nelson “Nick” Hopkins

We wish to celebrate, promote, and advance the legacy of Jacobs Institute (JI) Founder, Dr. Leo Nelson “Nick” Hopkins (March 13, 1943 - October 5, 2024). While Dr. Hopkins loved what he did as the founding father of endovascular neurosurgery, what truly excited him was the idea that through innovation in new medical technology, we can save and change the lives of millions of patients through one device. At the JI, we are committed to continuing to bring Dr. Hopkins’ vision and legacy to the world through our Idea to Reality (i2R) Center.

Nick, you will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing you, but we will remain forever grateful for the indelible mark you left on us and the world. Help us fulfill Nick's dream and make his vision a reality.
